Compliance in BT
Compliance Issues in BT are addressed via a 'virtual' compliance organisation, which spans all BT Lines of Business. This compliance team works in conjunction with operational teams. There is a small central compliance team in Group HQ. An extensive network of contacts supplements this team across the business.
BT's aim is to ensure that effective arrangements are in place to enable us to comply with our regulatory obligations, including competition law and the Undertakings BT has given to Ofcom.

The compliance organisation operates across each Line of Business as a matrix managed environment. In addition the Compliance Training and Communications Forum meets regularly to progress proactive initiatives to help all BT people remain compliant as well as various other events and activities encompassing the whole compliance community to share learning and best practice.
